When you fall in love, you tend to remember all the good times and look past the bad. So many memories tear me apart, as I sit here and wonder where I went wrong. You can’t just fall out of love. You can’t. Remember that time we made auntie anne’s pretzels and left them in too long and they tasted like shit? Or when I came home to an amazing dinner cooked by you? Or when we took that walk to the water and was told to leave? Remember all our letters? Or the first time you met my family? Or when I picked you up from “vacation” and you just looked at me and held me?” Remember what we first did in a parking garage? The stupid luigi hat? That time we sat by the river and I got super smacked for the first time? Or when you tickle me and I pee myself? Snuggling up next to each other as we fall asleep? Traveling to va beach to stick our toes in the sand? Sneaking you in after my parents go to sleep? Or planning our life and kids names together? Our picnics at the harbor? My first graffiti tag? Always joking about Damian? I’ve always looked at you like you were an angel. I wanted to do stuff you wanted to do, but you were always down for what I wanted. But I shouldn’t of listened. I should of done what you enjoyed to do, and I know that now. Do you remember that at all? Remember all the good things? Cause I do. That’s all
I remember. It’s so hard not to just say “goodnight baby” to you. I’m trying so hard to give you the space you need so you can sit and think. When two people fall in love, it’s impossible to fall out. You continue to come back stronger and that’s what I will hold onto. Hope. I did it all for you.
